This project is still in production, so I’ve added some process samples just to show my methodology till we publish the finished piece. I’ve unfortunately lost the original source credit for the dancer I reference for my keying. So, if anyone happens upon this and recognizes them please send me their proper credit. Their choreography was a pleasure to analyze.

Fulfilling a desire to practice my skills in traditional animation and exploration into my own storytelling, this project is a meditation of my relationship with dance and movement. Dance is often a medium to reconnect with our physicality, release pent up energy and feelings stuck in the body. If this transmutation were expressed as a form of magic, what would that look like? Personally, the kinetic energy of dancing feels like a form of light, generating and dissipating through this physical art form.
